The 10 th International Conference on Geometry and Graphics (ICGG-2002) will be carried out in Kyiv, Ukraine (July 28 - August 2, 2002). The ICGG-2002 is sponsored by the International Society for Geometry and Graphics (ISGG), the Japan Society for Graphic Science (JSGS) and the Ukrainian Association for Applied Geometry (UAAG).

The previous Conferences were held in Vancouver (1978), Beijing (1984), Vienna (1988), Miami (1990), Melbourne (1992), Tokyo (1994), Krakow (1996), Austin (1998) and Johannesburg (2000). This series of conferences provides a forum for the discussion of both academic and industrial research that involves the application of theoretical, constructive and computational geometry and extends to educational issues in the related fields.

The Conference will be hosted by the Ukrainian Association of Applied Geometry at the support of the largest universities of the City of Kyiv such as National Technical University KPI, Kyiv National University of Building and Architecture, National Agricultural University, National Aviation University, National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Main events of the Conference will be held at the National Technical University KPI. An exhibition organized for publisher and vendors of graphic software is planned at the conference site.

Kyiv is the capital of the Ukraine, picturesque green city with a population more then 2,5 billions, located at the centre of Ukraine on hills above the Dnieper river. It is a significant scientific, historical and cultural center of East Europe, known as a "Mother of Russian Cities". Kyiv is an ancient city founded more than 1500 ago. It is the well-known tourist center. City has a convenient air and railway transport message with all countries of the world.

Organizers of the Conference are planning the rich excursion program in historical places of Kyiv and Ukraine, yacht walks and also post - conference round in the Crimea peninsula.

The official conference language will be English. All presentations should be made in English and the papers prepared for the proceedings should be written in English.

The early registration fee is estimated as $350 for delegates and $150 for full-time students. Both fee categories will include a copy of conference proceedings, Early Bird reception, lunches and refreshments during the conference days, transfer to and from the conference site and conference banquet. The registration fee for accompanying persons will be $110. It will cover Early Bird reception, lunches and refreshments during the conference days. Other activities planned for attendees and accompanying persons will be charged at special conference rates.

  1. Theoretical Graphics and Geometry:
    Theoretical Graphics, Geometry of Curves and Surfaces, Kinematics Geometry, Descriptive Geometry, Computer Aided Geometric Design.
  2. Applied Geometry and Graphics:
    Theoretical Aspects of the Geometric Modeling of Objects, Phenomena and Processes. Application of Geometry in Arts, Sciences, Architecture and Engineering. Geometric aspects of Technical Art and Design.
  3. Engineering Computer Graphics:
    Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Compu-tational Geometry, Geometric and Solid Modeling, Product Modeling, Image Synthesis, Pattern Recognition, Digital Image Processing, Graphics Standards, Scientific and Technical Visualization.
  4. Graphics education:
    Teaching Techniques, Educational Exercises, Problem Solving Methods and Student Projects, Training and Evaluation for Spatial Abilities, Multimedia and Internet in Graphics education, Educational Graphics software, Graphics in Engineering Education, Psychological Aspects of Graphic Education.
Other topics that involve Geometry and Graphics will be considered. Papers that do not relate to Geometry or Graphics will not be accepted. Papers reviewing will be coordinated by the International Steering Committee.
